My thanks go out to the “Super Cool Swede” Arne Ringner creator of many a fine restaurant and idea, as well as his management team headed by Mark down at the Clifton Lido . After a bit of a worry with a technical gremlin everyone had a great time making pics and generally splashing around.
Sporting a real fancy pair of stripy pants we have Mr Benjamin Davies Esq entertaining his mum Lucy, whilst the other star of the show Henry has a bit of a chuckle with mum Alex. Thanks to Mustard Models for their usual care and attention.
Heres a quick peek at a recent shoot on the IQ250 last week around the streets of Bristol. This shows some of my early colour work done in Capture One to experiment with the look With Kieran, Ruby, Sophie and Lara.
Medium Format lovelyness at f/2.8, hear is a glimpse of some new portraits fresh from the can, Ismail and Laura are the stars of these two. Whilst we are going to have a little play in post it will be little as I think we nailed it in camera.
David (seen pictured here) is a bright and determined consultant working in the medical sector. Head practitioner at The David Laszlo Partnership he is driven to providing excellence. Not unlike me! It was a pleasure to be asked by the good folk down at Create Marketing to shoot this for DLP as everyone involved worked hard and well towards making the images work.
Here is a sneaky one of some the new images from a commission from Mustard Models which will be going into post over the next few days (These are straight out of Capture One Pro as shot). Make Up by Jo Priestley from Mustard and models Sal, Liz and George all looking lovely. From a creative perspective these are extremely satisfying, fairly tricky to shoot but hitting the brief of creating stills from a film and creating a sense of three dimensional space – a voluminous perception.
All this going through images to update the site is throwing up some stuff to blog that I couldn’t at the time as stuff hadn’t gone live, Above is one of the final shots from the recent Lloyds campaign and massive thanks to Stenor the client company whose energy and enthusiasm was tremendous, below is a little video of the scene of this shoot, carefully overdubbed to hide the immoderate amount of swearing from yours truly on the original! Taken during a break when everyone else had magically disappeared having decided that the top of these pile of rocks with the wind coming in off the sea and the rain lashing down was not the place to be! No problem for our new 4motion Kombi but hey that’s why we got it and its a fantastic production vehicle, it did us proud and hauled all the kit you need to stay sane and come away with the shot in these conditions.
Here we have Paul the AD with the smile of a man who’s plan on being somewhere nice very shortly is entering stage 1, with Rob on 1st assist finding a new use for his swimming goggles which sadly never did see the hotel pool.
